Lesson 1b --World Book Public Library Edition

1. World Book Online for Kids (grades K-5)Wow, the "Interactive Maps" are amazing. You can explore places you never  even heard about it. For a class project kids could enlarge and print out maps and make a informative and colorful display.Checking out the all different sites, places, history, and more.The information listed is in a precise way, just enough information most kids need for their asignment or curiosity. More recommendation for an intensive look are cited.  
2. World Book Online Info Finder (grades 5-9)
In our library we have a special section for 921- but this online system is fantastic. Well organized and easy to find with just a keyword or name. All those opions: World "Newspapers", even "Virgual Tours" explore through video, plenty of  activities are available and more.  The "Research Tools" are priceless. Information on how to research will save time to prepare for your project. "Info Finder" is a great tool for young and old.  
3. World Book Online Reference Center (grades 9-adult)
This is another interesting site"The Reference Center" very helpful in learning how to pronounce difficult words (H. Potter books), etc. If English is your second language, a correct pronounciation is important and challenging. Also, the selected articles from the World Book Yearbooks from 1922 to present is loaded with information. The information under the "Computer and Web Tutorials"are beneficial for all patrons who didn't grew up in the digital age.
