Lesson # 5: ProQuest

Lesson 5: ProQuest
ProQuest provides access to over 3000 full-text magazines and journals that cover a wide variety of topics. This resource provides the ability to search, print articles or email. On the left side of the home page to find listings like: email search results; create citation lists; create your own account to save searches, articles, alerts and more. Under ProQuest K-12 home page I clicked on Librarian Spot and searched for interesting articles. On the top left corner you can pick what language and I chose German. The article:"Engage Your Patrons with Comprehensive and Ever-Expanding Content" was very informative and interesting. ProQuest is dedicated to provide research solutions, preserving historical records and and a wealth of information of primary and secondary sources. I am looking at a print out: Historic Map Works, who show extensive information on a diverse collection of sources that allow users to discover the physical spaces of the past. There are remarkable historic maps - from big cities to small farms. So much information and so little time to capture it all.

  1. Proquest offers all the content you mention plus the ability to refine your search using the search limiters on the right hand side of the page--these tools make your search even more powerful.

    Thanks for your post,
